The red poppy has become a symbol of war remembrance the world over. People in many countries wear the poppy to remember those who died in war or are serving in the armed forces.

This week our teachers arranged some poppy crafts to start Anzac Day activities with our children.

Our tamariki cut and painted egg cartons in red and then glued them on the sticks to resemble poppies. Ka Pai!
