Te reo Māori week we learnt about kowhaiwhai patterns and their meaning. We chose patterns that our tamariki connected to the most.

Koru for new beginnings

Puhoro for speed and agility,

Kowhai Ngutukākā for the flowers it represents

Mangōpare the representation of the hammer head shark and a symbol of strength and courage.
