Taokia Gill

Kia ora,

My name is Taokia Gill.  Along with my passion for teaching I am also passionate about providing a happy, safe, fun and stimulating environment which I hope will make a difference in a child’s life and will encourage him or her to grow and become a confident, competent lifelong learner.

Center Manager

Emily Liu

Kia ora, Ni hao, my name is Emily and I'm excited to be working here at Flying Kiwi Preschool. I am originally from China and moved to New Zealand in 2015.

I have earned my Graduate Diploma in teaching early childhood, and I am a registered teacher. I love working with tamariki and watching them grow as competent and confident individuals.

Early childhood education has always been my passion and I'm excited to see where my teaching journey will take me.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and your families.

Rachel Park

Kia Ora, my name is Rachel (Yikyung) Park and I am from South Korea.

I am a qualified ECE kaiako (educator).

I love getting to know my akonga (students) and see their interests/passions shine through. I love working with tamariki (children) and I believe they are capable of doing things for themselves.

I love singing songs and reading books with children. I also like baking and trying some new recipes.

I'm married and have two young children, Ian and Hannah. They remind me why I love to do this job every day.

I look forward to meeting you and your whanau.

 Vibhu Sharma

Kia Ora, Namaste, I am Vibhu Sharma and I am Indian by origin. I have been into this wonderful profession of teaching for more than 6 years now. The ultimate goal is to make learning more fun-based for these little kids while keeping them grounded to their roots.
*We learn and grow together* .

Halò and welcome!

My name is Alyse and I'm so honored to be working at Flying Kiwi alongside a fantastic team and such incredible tamariki.

I've worked with tamariki for the last 7 years and along the way I've gained invaluable knowledge and passion for what I do.

I have recently completed training in becoming an Enviroschools teacher, meaning I'm competent and passionate about guiding and empowering our communities young minds towards being more environmentally conscientious. That includes encouraging the creation and nurturing of our gardens, learning about the importance of biodiversity and caring for our centre, community and whanau.

I truly hope to make a difference, even a small one, in each of the lives I get the privilege to be a part of.

My name is Latifa. I am from Afghanistan. I have been in Aotearoa since 2007.

I am a mother of two gorgeous boys and being a mother myself inspired me to choose teaching as career.

I believe that each child is unique in their own way and my goal is understand each and every child I work with to provide the best individual learning I can. Early childhood education is regarded as a key factor in a child’s growth development and shaping their future. Teaching is a dynamic and exciting career and I am privileged to be a part of the whanau here.
